My story so far...

Change, growth, exploring potential... this is what gets me excited!

However I've come to realise that not everyone finds change very comfortable. That, and I've had to challenge myself not to create change just for the sake of it! I grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa in the midst of apartheid. I studied for a Bachelors degree majoring Psychologgy and English, but entered the workforce unsure of where I fitted in and what I wanted to be doing. I spent the next eighteen years in Interior Decor Retail for three large South African companies, managing large stores, staff and driving sales. I enjoyed the human side of the business - recruiting and managing large teams and introducing trainings and workshops to upskill and develop the individuals. In 2017 I met my husband and we relocated to the Netherlands in Europe. I took some time off to ensure my family was settled before exploring the Dutch job market. I found this fairly challenging at first and had several short stints at the Post Office, a recruitment firm and as an office manager, before settling into a role at a chemical company.
